Lester R. McNall Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Dr. McNall has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the field of chemistry

LA HABRA, CA, February 24, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Lester R. McNall with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. McNall celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Having accrued well over six and a half decades of inimitable experience in the field of chemistry and horticulture, Dr. McNall garnered a laudable reputation as the president of Nutrient Technologies Inc. from 1984 until 2016. Originally a research chemist for Esso Research & Engineering Company, he later headed chemical research at Paper Mate in the Gillette division of Santa Monica, California. He subsequently contributed nearly 20 years with Leffingwell Chemical Company as a technical director and general manager before embarking upon his own venture. Dr. McNall founded Nutrient Technologies in 1986 and oversaw its operation for more than three decades before selling the company to the De Sangrosse Group, a French company, to support its international expansion. Nutrient Technologies notably supplied micronutrients to agriculture.

Dr. McNall studied at the University of Wisconsin, where he received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1950. Continuing his studies, he acquired a Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1955. To support his career, he has been an active member of the American Chemical Society. Acknowledging his gratitude to his alma mater, in 2016 he endowed the Lester R. McNall Professorship in Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin.

Outside of his full-time commitments in the field, Dr. McNall became an author in 2019. His non-fiction book, "The Road Too Far," took place in 1948 and is the story of several college students and their 10,000 mile road trip to South America. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. McNall has been featured in the 24th and 25th editions of Who's Who in the West.
