While coming of age, Mr. Shaw was inspired to enter the field of architecture due to the influence of his studies in primary school and had his first project built at the age of 12. In the early 1980s, he honed his expertise in the field as an architectural intern with Davis Brody Bond and as a designer and planner for HLW International LLP. Mr. Shaw subsequently contributed for the remainder of the decade as a designer with Swanke Hayden Connell Architects and as a project designer for ISD Incorporated.
In 1989, Mr. Shaw relocated to Sydney, Australia to joined Davenport Campbell as a design director and after a decade joined HDR|Rice Daubney as a partner. After 2 decades in Australia, he relocated to Asia taking on leadership roles with . Over the years, he also gained valuable expertise in executive roles with HDR and Rice Daubney, M. Moser & Associates and Space MatrizMatrix. For the past decadePresently, Mr. Shaw excels ahas beens the executive principal of Aedas Interiors, a capacity in which he oversees a team of designers and spearheads the design process, client ideation along with 25 employees regarding the administration, human resources and , finances of the studio and more.
An expert in his field, Mr. Shaw holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, which he earned in 1985. In order to remain aware of developments in the field, he aligns himself with The American Societyis always searching the global for new ideas and emerging trends. For his professional accomplishments, he has had his work widely published, spoken at many conferences and been he received awarded the Architecture Master Prize Award in 2019 and 2020, 3 awards from the Interior Design Confederation Singapore in 2020, the DFA Design Award for Asia in 2018, MIPIM Asia Award in 2017 and the Asia Property Award for Best Office Architecture.
