An expert in his respected field, Mr. Hancock has served as the chief data scientist for 4Digital in Melbourne, Florida, since 2014, and as the chief scientist for CelesTech Inc. in Haddonfield, New Jersey, since 2009. He is also the former chief cognitive research scientist at Essex Science Systems Group, where he contributed for two years from 2004 to 2006. He also enjoyed a tenured position as the chief scientist and director of research and development at Computer Science Innovations Inc. between 1987 and 2004. Among other noteworthy roles, Mr. Hancock devoted many years to academia, originally at Pennsylvania State University from 1981 until 1982, and, since 1985, at Rollins College as an adjunct faculty member.

Committed to education, Mr. Hancock was a curriculum developer at the University of Florida. He has been serving in the same capacity at Yorktown University since 2011. Involved with various other organizations, conferences and committees over the years as well, Mr. Hancock is notably a former tutorial speaker for the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and a former session chair for the annual International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics.

A prolific author, Mr. Hancock has contributed several scientific books, including "N-Dimensional Graphics" in 1987, "Field-Theoretic Neural Architecture" in 1991, "Near and Short-Term Load Prediction Using Radial Basis Functions" in 1995, and "Practical Data Mining" in 2011. He also co-authored "Data Mining Explained: Customer-Centric Business Intelligence" in 2001. Mr. Hancock was published in the Florida Association Almanac between 1991 and 1995 for his expertise, contributed chapters in volume six of the 1996 book, "Progress in Neural Processing," and served as a reviewer for the 2004 publication of the National Science Foundation as well.

Committed to his community, Mr. Hancock has been involved with the Florida Parent Educators Association in Pensacola since 1987. He has also served as the chairperson and was a seminar speaker at the association's annual convention between 1990 and 2002. Mr. Hancock has been aligned as an elder at the Church on the Rock in Palm Bay, Florida, since 1988, as a mentor for the Master of Science in computer science program at Webster University since 2001, as the vice chairperson of the FPEA Scholar Fund since 2002 and as the founder of the Sirius Project since 2006.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Hancock received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics at Rice University in 1976. Continuing his studies, he attained a Master of Science in mathematics at Syracuse University in 1977. Well regarded for his indelible contributions to the field, Mr. Hancock was the recipient of the 1999 Christa McAuliffe Teaching Award at Rollins College.
