Before establishing her skincare line, Ms. Zarzar immigrated from Bolivia to the United States and worked as a funeral home director for six years. Her husband encouraged her to seek out a more enjoyable line of work, which spurred her to foster an appreciation for the beauty industry. Due to her standout success, she returns to her home country regularly to educate others regarding entrepreneurship, and serves on the board of Aesthetics International Latin America. Additionally, Ms. Zarzar frequently donates to Nueva Vida, which informs and supports Latino families in the Washington D.C. metro area whose lives are affected by cancer, while simultaneously advocating for state-of-the-art oncological care.
An expert in her field, Ms. Zarzar, a former Miss Senora Latina USA, holds a degree in communications from Universidad de la Paz and is a licensed cosmetologist. In light of her professional body of work, she was named as the Entrepreneur of the Year through Oreo Star in 2018 and among 100 Women in Business via the Colombian Embassy in 2019. Within the next five years, Ms. Zarzar aspires to depart from her executive role and pursue work as a coach so that she may pass on her considerable knowledge to others.
