Since 2009, he has served as the president and chief executive officer of Marquesa Funding and Consulting Corporation, an organization that specializes in providing commercial loan financing solutions, such as private, bridge and hard money financing, to real estate investors. The company also offers an array of other loans, such as refinancing and accounts receivable financing. Separate from his full-time commitments, Mr. Morgenstein is an international consultant in the footwear importing-exporting sector, a commercial loan broker and a business sales training consultant.
Having embarked upon his professional journey in 1955 as a salesperson and senior buyer for Thom McAn shoes in the footwear business, Mr. Morgenstein quickly garnered a reputation for his hard work. By the age of 35, he had been named as the president of a Kitty Kelly shoe chain, based in New York After various high level executive positions, as noted below he formed his own footwear import-export business which eventually reached $55 million in volume. After a brief retirement he transitioned toward finance and banking. Among his positions of high leadership, Mr. Morgenstein found success as the president and chief executive officer of both Sandia International and the Marquesa International Corporation, as well as the vice president of AdvanceMe Inc. Likewise, he established and served as the executive vice president and national sales director of Sterling Funding Corporation.
A talented writer, Mr. Morgenstein has contributed articles to various businesses and political publications. He also authored his first book, "The Crazy Life of a Kid from Brooklyn," in 2014. Mr. Morgenstein studied at the University of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in finance in 1955. Following this accomplishment, he undertook advanced business courses in the New School of Social Research. While attaining his undergraduate degree, Mr. Morgenstein joined the U.S. Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps for four years plus one year of Army ROTC training. He was drafted in the U/S. Army in 1956 and 1958, during which time he served in the Chemical X/Corps before he was shipped abroad to South Korea.
A consummate professional, Mr. Morgenstein is a former vice chairperson, board director and executive committee member of the Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America. He also served in various capacities with the International Footwear Association, including as its president. Other professional memberships to his credit include the 210 Association and Toastmasters International. Well regarded for his exemplary performance in the field, Mr. Morgenstein received a Public Speaking Award from Toastmasters, as well as several other honors for his charitable endeavors.
