Claude has chosen a career in nursing with the intention of helping people in different locations in the world because of his love of travelling. With his Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Montreal he enjoyed a decade plus of ICU and home care. Then, he was ready for a change and graduated with an MBA from Université du Québec a Montréal (UQAM) to purse new challenges. During a later stage of his professional journey, he established a real estate investment company, through which he was introduced to the sport of golf. After attending a PGA Tour event, Mr. Brousseau, then in his thirty, was inspired and eager to become a professional golfer and decided to move his family to Florida.
Following several moderately successful years as a competitor, Mr. Brousseau found that he enjoyed teaching/coaching more than competing and eventually became one of the best instructors in the sport. He now works as the director of instruction at the Wailea Golf Academy. Mr. Brousseau is also a Golf Channel Academy lead coach, an AimPoint Level III certified instructor and a VISION54 coach in the state of Hawaii.
In his current position, Mr. Brousseau has developed a long-term strategy to make his academy one of the best in the world. Previously, he created the first short game golf school in France (Golf Court Academy) which included coaching several thousand golfers of all levels from pure beginners to tour players and also finding time mentoring PGA coaches. Throughout the course of his career, he has written more than 60 instructional articles for such publications as Golf Magazine USA, Golf Magazine France, Golf Digest USA & Canada and Inside Golf Canada. As an accomplished instructor, he has coached players on the Asian tour, the European Tour, the Senior European Tour, the Ladies European Tour, the Challenge Tour, the Alps Tour and the Mena Tour. He has also been featured on several sports channels, including ESPN and Golf Channel, where he produced more than 38 videos. In 2017, Mr. Brousseau published his book, "Realize Your Golfing Potential, Unlock the Secrets of a PROficient Short Game." In 2018, he founded the Virtual Golf Academy with more that 70 HD broadcasting instructional videos.
Well regarded for his exemplary vocational journey, Mr. Brousseau was presented by the ASPGA with the Bill Strausbaugh Award in 2014, the Horton Smith Award in 2016 and the Professional Development Award in 2020. He was also named as the Professional Teacher of the Year in 2008 and 2015. Likewise, he was rated as the number one golf teacher in the State of Hawaii by Golf Digest for 2019-2020. With an international career in the USA, Canada, France, Belgium and Luxembourg suffused with highlights, Mr. Brousseau is most proud to have obtained the highest recognition of PGA Master in teaching & coaching. Less than .0.01% of the membership of the PGA of America can claim this accomplishment.
Throughout his varied career, he has attributed his professional success to his daily work ethic, perseverance and gratitude. He has always strived to help others realize their potential.
