Dr. Harding has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the fields of orthopaedic surgery and higher education

MARIEMONT, OH, March 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Warren G. Harding III, MD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Harding celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Retired since 2020, Dr. Harding was a renowned surgeon who practiced medicine in Cincinnati for more than 50 years. Affiliated with The Christ Hospital, with which he practiced for many years, he also flourished as the team physician for the Cincinnati Reds of the National Baseball League from 1986 to 1989. The former team physician for USA Swimming and USA Rowing, Dr. Harding was additionally active as an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Cincinnati.

Contributing to his field, Dr. Harding has conducted extensive clinical research and authored numerous scholarly articles on various aspects of orthopaedics. Among them, he documented the discovery of a test that can detect an injury of the bicep tendon in the arm, which physicians continue to utilize today to diagnose the condition. Moreover, outside of his primary professional endeavors, he edited the books Our Common Country and Practical Idealism: The Recorded Speeches of President Warren G. Harding. Outside of his primary professional endeavors, Dr. Harding participated on the boards of the Society of Colonial Wars, the Village of Indian Hill Green Acres and the Indian Hill-Madeira Joint Fire District.

Dr. Harding initially pursued an education at Loma Linda University, from which he obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1967. He later completed orthopaedic training at the University of California Los Angeles in 1973. Following these accomplishments, he served as a lieutenant commander in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Naval Reserve at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego between 1973 and 1975. Likewise, Dr. Harding is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

While in medical school, Dr. Harding was in an automobile accident, which required three months of hospitalization. During his stay, he was fortunate to receive care from a brilliant orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Alonzo Neufeld, who taught him a lot about the field and ultimately inspired him to pursue orthopedics as a specialty. He is noted as one of many doctors in his family, as his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all physicians, and his three brothers are also physicians. Furthermore, Dr. Harding has been mentored by several incredible individuals, including Dr. Frank Jobe, in orthopaedic sports medicine.

In support of his professional career, Dr. Harding has been a proud member of the American Orthopedic Association. He considers this election to have been a high honor because the organization only accepted approximately five percent of board-certified professionals who had made a special contribution to their field at that time. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Harding has been showcased in multiple editions of Who's Who in America. Dr. Harding and his wife Barbara reside in Mariemont, Ohio.
