Later deciding to open a restaurant in 2018, Ms. Brathwaite has flourished with Mama Sheila's House of Soul over the past two years.

Their menu items are priced affordably and their food is prepared with fresh ingredients by a friendly staff. Ms. Brathwaite also rents out the restaurant space for events and special occasions, offering music, a state-of-the-art sound system and a welcoming atmosphere.
For her efforts as an entrepreneur, Ms. Brathwaite has received various awards, including the Kerry Levin Award. In the coming years, she plans to enter a well-deserved semi-retirement. Ms. Brathwaite would like to travel the world while also remaining active in the restaurant business.
