Mr. Greer is a sought after litigator who has been serving as a senior counsel at Day Pitney LLC since 2019. Specializing in complex commercial litigation, his previous expertise included more than 50 years as a partner of Richman, Greer PA in Miami, Florida, where he focused on business litigation, professional liability defense, class action and corporate and officer liability between 1969 and 2019. Day Pitney notably has 13 offices throughout the country and concentrates its practice on eight specific industries, including financial services, intellectual property and technology, and real estate and environmental.

While practicing, Mr. Greer enjoyed many wonderful experiences and accomplishments. Most notably, he had the opportunity to be involved in the controversial Watergate case during the early stages of his career. Many years later, Mr. Greer was honored to represent Al Gore and the Florida Democratic Party in Bush vs. Gore in 2000.

Apart from his responsibilities at the office, Mr. Greer has often taught legal courses at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He also chaired the WLRN Public Radio and TV station, which he believed was a very important service to the community, and was active on the board of trustees for Probono.net. Meanwhile, Mr. Greer's civic interests and efforts have included serving as the chairperson of the board of directors for Camillus House, a nonprofit service center that provides various services to the poor and homeless. He also co-chaired the site selection committee of the Democratic National Committee, chaired the Dade County Council for Arts and Sciences and, among other commitments, was a member of the Florida State Task Force on Water Issues and the Governor's Business Advisory Council on Education.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Greer attended the U.S. Naval Academy, where he received a Bachelor of Science in 1961. He subsequently served for six years in the U.S. Navy before acquiring a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Florida in 1969. Mr. Greer has been admitted to practice by the Florida, New York, and D.C. Bar Associations, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth, Ninth, 11th, D.C., Federal Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Greer is an elected fellow of the International Society of Barristers. He is also a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, where he is a former chairperson of the professionalism committee and continues to serve on the complex litigation committee. He is also actively engaged with various other professional organizations relative to his field, including as a member of the American Bar Association, as a board director of the American College Trial Lawyers Foundation and a former chairperson of the international law committee of the Florida Bar Association. Likewise, Mr. Greer is the past president of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society.

Included in numerous legal publications in recognition for his outstanding achievements, Mr. Greer has been featured in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, Law Dragon and Florida Trend on multiple occasions. He has also been bestowed with a Jurisprudence Award from the Anti-Defamation League in 2018 and the David W. Dyer Award for Professionalism from the Dade County Bar Association in 2016 and was named as the Board Certified Lawyer of the Year by the Florida Bar in 2008. Furthermore, he maintains an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Likewise active as a published author, Mr. Greer wrote "Choices & Challenges, Lessons in Faith, Hope and Love" in 2009 through Raymond James Publishing. He later released "God Is" in 2019 through KCM Publishing.
