Mr. Sanchez is a business management and staff development consultant celebrating more than 50 years of diverse experience in information technology, engineering and business development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1963 and an executive Master of Business Administration in management from the University of Miami from 1978, and has continued his education throughout his career with postgraduate studies, including highly competitive coursework in American policy and history at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.
After a brief, but successful, term as an engineer for Stone & Webster Engineers of Boston, Mr. Sanchez began a 26-year career with Florida Power and Light Company, where he developed a reputation for his lean and creative management style. He became a key stakeholder and leader in the company, diversifying his skills to include complex computer systems administration and programming, functional and strategic planning, and customer activities management. After working with Florida Power and Light Company, Mr. Sanchez concurrently served as senior vice president and general partner for Management Systems International, where he consulted for client organizations in South America and Europe to train corporate management personnel and assess performance.
In 1997, Mr. Sanchez served as the chief financial officer and a general partner with the Management Resources Institute, where he developed resources for corporate training and leadership skills building, as well as overseeing the Institute's corporate finances and enrollment. Under his direction, the Management Resources Institute saw enrollment grow to more than 700 students annually. Mr. Sanchez considers his "can-do attitude" and tenacity to be the keys to his ongoing success, and looks forward to continuing to share his knowledge and experience with students, clients and corporations for years to come.
