From a young age, Ms. DePina has enjoyed working with children as well as an educator. As a testament to her wealth of expertise, she has earned a Bachelor of Science in business management, and counseling psychology from Washington Adventist University and a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins University Before embarking upon her career in education. She later founded Kayon Kreates Learning Spaces, for which she currently serves as an education consultant and the chief executive officer. Ms. DePina is additionally active as a pre-kindergarten educator with Baltimore Public Schools.
With Kayon Kreates, Ms. DePina provides support, trains and advises members of the educational community on new technologies, classroom policies and scholarly achievements. She also developed the Kayon Kreates Learning Spaces curriculum and lesson plans aligned to the needs of scholars, and she provides tangible resources for students and learning partners to ensure purposeful learning in multiple environments. She is also distinguished as an iFellow of Improving Education, a post in which she collaborates with other educators to support learning organizations throughout the district. In this position, Ms. DePina is also responsible for developing, testing and implementing initiatives and efficient solutions for complex problems.
In addition to her primary professional duties, she also authored "The Metaphorical Moon." She likewise maintains her professional affiliation with the National Society of Leadership and Kappa Delta Pi. She has attributed her professional success to God, her family support, specifically that which she received from her mother, Yvonne Wynter, close circle of friends and scholars. Looking toward the future, Ms. DePina plans to conclude her studies with a Doctor of Education degree in which she is currently enrolled, while expanding upon her business and providing teaching and learning materials to those in need."
