DOVER, DE, March 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Kim Warfield Walker has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Having come of age in a family closely tied with law enforcement, Mrs. Walker was inspired to help others in her own career. She joined the New York Police Department, for which she served as a detective for 15 years then received her Bachelor of Arts from the College of New Rochelle, and now a deputy sheriff for the Kent County Sheriff's Office in Dover, Delaware. After retiring, she became involved in the ministry, receiving a Master of Arts in theological studies from Pathway Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Philosophy from Faithway Bible College and Seminary. In an effort to reach out to as many people as possible, Mrs. Walker established the Cultivating Wholeness and Restoration Ministries, Inc.
Mrs. Walker is a certified nutrition specialist and personal trainer, and through her ministry, trains and guides others in healthy eating habits. In addition to the many appreciation awards she received for her police work over the years, she has also been recognized for her ministry work. She was notably bestowed with the Mayor's Award from the Mayor of Dover and an Award of Appreciation from the Worship Church of God Ministries, Inc. Throughout the years, Mrs. Walker has attributed her success to her parents, who raised their children to be kind and helpful.
Civically, Mrs. Walker volunteers her time with the Dover Federal Credit Union Board and the Frederick Douglas Foundation. She also maintains her affiliation with the Delaware Board of Elections, and finally the Parks and Recreations Committee, the Human Relations Committee, the Salary and Benefits Compensation Committee, and several other committees and organizations. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Walker aspires to grow the reach of her ministry to international status.
