After completing coursework in sports medicine at Longwood University in 1998, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in microelectronics, water fabrication and manufacturing from ECPI University in 2000. Mr. Kirby began his career as an equipment technician for Dominion Semiconductor before becoming involved with Micron Technology in 2002 as an equipment coordinator. He subsequently worked as a scanner engineer, process control engineer, photolithography engineering operations manager and photolithography and dry etch operations process manager for Micron Technology before advancing to the position of the photolithography equipment engineering manager in 2015. As his career progressed, Mr. Kirby served as the site TPM program manager, and he currently excels as the senior account manager for EcoMicron Inc., a post he holds to this day.

A prominent member of his field, Mr. Kirby is notable for his skilled installation of lithography equipment during a 300-millimeter ramp. He is also affiliated with multiple organizations in his industry.
