JACKSON, MS, March 29, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Vera D. Hall has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
As a young woman, Ms. Hall worked with her brother to paint homes for extra money, which piqued her interest in the construction industry. Later, while pursuing a vocational education class in college, she began working on small construction projects and fell in love with the work. Throughout the late 1990s, Ms. Hall completed a Bachelor of Science in agro-business management and a Master of Science in animal science from Alcorn State University before completing continued studies in animal science at Louisiana State University in 2001.
Over the years, Ms. Hall has gained valuable professional expertise as an intern with the Atlanta Metro Prison for Women, a managing member and officer of Superior Contracting LLC, the director and project manager of the ASU Wesley Foundation and as the director and campus minister of the JSU Wesley Foundation. Supported by her extensive professional and academic resume, which includes a Master of Divinity in theology and Christian education from Emory University in 2006, she excels as the director of Innovative Performance Construction Company LLC. As the head of the organization, Ms. Hall oversees daily business operations, project management, budgeting matters and more.
In conjunction with her work with the construction company, Ms. Hall has dedicated herself the tenets of her Christian faith. At just 18 years, she found herself tested by the loss of her two brothers. Nearly ten years later, she began providing campus ministerial services for the local University via the United Methodist Church. Through her work, she maintained responsibility for delivering and arranging appropriate spiritual care on behalf of students, faculty and staff, offered worship opportunities and helped students meet their ritual and sacramental needs. In 2014, she also contributed to "Ten Proverbs Singles Should Know Before Marriage." Though her career has been suffused with highlights, Ms. Hall is especially proud to have been selected as Mississippi's 2020 Small Business Administration Small Business Person of the Year Award.
Ms. Hall remains aware of changes in the field via her affiliations with the Associated Builders & Contractors of Mississippi, the Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce, the Minority Contractors Association of Mississippi, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Mississippi Development Authority. Outside of her work, she also contributes to her community through the V. Hall Foundation. Looking toward the future, Ms. Hall intends to expand her construction company into other states.
