Dr. Lee is esteemed as an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery and the chief of foot and ankle services at Eulji Medical Center. He earned a Doctor of Medicine at Chosun University College of Medicine in 2008 before completing an internship and residency in orthopedics through Eulji Medical Center and graduating in 2012 with a Master of Science. He subsequently accepted a prestigious fellowship in foot and ankle service in the department of orthopedics at Nowon Eulji Hospital in 2016. In 2019, Dr. Lee obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from the Soonchunhyang University Graduate School College of Medicine.
In 2017, Dr. Lee began his career with the department of orthopedic surgery at Nowon Eulji Medical Center as a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery. In 2019, he advanced to become the chief of foot and ankle services at the aforementioned medical center, where he continues to teach as an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery. In addition to his exemplary work with Eulji University, Dr. Lee was invited as a visiting scholar to the department of orthopedics at Thammasat University Hospital in Bangkok in 2019.
Widely recognized as a rising star in his specialty, Dr. Lee holds administrative roles in several professional organizations, including service on the board of the Korean Orthopedic Association, the Korean Society of Sports Medicine, the Korean Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine and the Korean Diabetic Foot Society. He is additionally active as a member of the faculty of the Korean Foot and Ankle Society and the academic committee of the Korean Wound Management Society, serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Wound Management and Research. His research has notably focused on complex trauma interventions in cases of chronic ankle instability, and he has been published extensively in Korean and English. Among other awards, Dr. Lee has been presented with the 2019 Seoul Wound Meeting's Best Free Paper Award, and looks forward to continuing to build upon a career filled with further groundbreaking research.
