After seeking advice from one of his mentors, he realized that he required a thorough understanding of atomic organization and molecular interactions. Dr. Janaswamy initially enrolled at Acharya Nagarjuna University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physics, mathematics and electronics. Subsequently, he obtained a Master of Science in physics and instructional training from one of the National Council of Educational Research and Training institutes Regional Institute of Education at Mysore. In 1997, Dr. Janaswamy earned a Doctor of Philosophy in structural chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Thriving under the tutelage of his professors, Dr. Janaswamy garnered professional expertise to venture into academic arena. Upon his relocation to the United States, he served as a postdoctoral research associate and a research associate at Purdue University between 1999 and 2009. For the next seven years, he remained at the aforementioned institution and continued his career as a research assistant professor and specialized in developing biopolymers for optimal carries of bioactive compounds. Currently, Dr. Janaswamy excels as an assistant professor of food science at South Dakota State University.
Aside from his decorated resume, Dr. Janaswamy contributes his knowledge as expert reviewer for several international scientific journals. Likewise, he maintains his membership with the Institute of Food Technology and the Phi Tau Sigma Honor Society. As a testament to his exemplary efforts, Dr. Janaswamy has been honored with the 2019 South Dakota State University's Global Engagement Award and is featured in past editions of Who's Who in America.
