After graduating from Barnum High School in the early 1960s, Ms. Jacobson attended the Duluth School of Nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). For many years, she excelled in the health care field before embarking on a different life path. With three children at home, she decided to pursue a career in the real estate industry, starting as a receptionist. One of her co-workers at that company told her she would be a great realtor. Therefore, in 1978, she obtained her license and has grown from strength to strength ever since.
Drawing upon her considerable expertise in residential real estate, Ms. Jacobson excels today as a Realtor, Broker Associate with Counselor Realty, Inc. Over the past 25 years, she has sold and listed homes, counseled buyers and sellers, and developed a specialty working with first-time buyers. Throughout her career, she has had wonderful mentors. With their help, her dedication and her faith in God, she has maintained a successful career. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is most proud of being inducted into the Million Dollar Club, winning a Top Female Executive Award in 2015 and seeing the smiles on her clients' faces.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Jacobson has earned numerous certifications. In addition to becoming a certified resident specialist, she is an accredited buyers' representative and graduated from the Graduate Realtor Institute. In conjunction with her work, she gives back to her community as a volunteer with the local Meals on Wheels and through her church. Looking ahead, Ms. Jacobson intends to retire and dedicate more time to volunteer work.
