Dr. Castor is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the owner of Artisan Aesthetics Plastic Surgery, where he has practiced since 2007. His interest in cosmetic procedures began as a teen, after his brother underwent a series of reconstructive surgeries to treat a cleft lip and palate. Observing the process and results of each surgery and their life-changing impacts on his brother inspired him to pursue a career in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Castor earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Florida Southern College, graduating in 1987, with honors, and obtained a Doctor of Medicine in 1992 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Before beginning his practice, Dr. Castor completed five years of internship and residency in general surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta before accepting a two-year fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery through the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1999. He was offered an additional, highly exclusive cosmetic surgery fellowship in Miami with world renowned plastic surgeons, Drs. Baker and Stuzin before beginning his practice in 1999 at the Watson Clinic. Dr. Castor has been board-certified for more than 20 years, and has been included in the Consumer Research Council's 2013 and 2016 Guide To America's Top Surgeons, The American Institute of Plastic Surgeons 2015 and 2021 10 Best Plastic Surgeons-Florida and the 2019 Best of Tampa Bay Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Castor has operated on patients who perform at the national level in modeling, bodybuilding, fitness and figure competitions, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
