Mr. Hulse has earned distinction as a co-founder of BCI LifeSciences LLC, for which he is also a member of the board of managers and chief executive officer. A subsidiary of BCI Advisors Inc., the firm is comprised of senior leaders who have led healthcare and other organizations as founders, presidents and chief executive officers. Working collaboratively to provide companies with advice regarding strategic transactions, Mr. Hulse brings with him decades of expertise in building new businesses in the chemical, advanced materials and biotechnology sectors.

Prior to forming BCI in 2017, Mr. Hulse began serving as the co-managing principal for Select BioVentures LLC starting in 2012. The company serves as a private equity fund for investment in Florida-based and other bioscience companies. BioVentures is headquartered in Palm Beach, Florida, and has several affiliate offices in the U.S. and abroad.

Hailing from an extensive background in biopharmaceutical consulting, Mr. Hulse notably founded the Sage Group in 1995, where he was an Executive Director for more than two decades. During the course of his lengthy career with Sage, he simultaneously served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Hemispherx Biopharma Inc. during two separate periods, where he was responsible for manufacturing and business development.

Mr. Hulse also spent several years as the vice president of business development for the biopharmaceutical company Enzon Inc. where he successfully saw to completion more than 30 transactions, including the acquisition of Genex Corporation. Among other roles, he worked for Halcon Catalyst Industries as the vice president and general manager in charge of the catalyst division and led negotiations for what was the largest chemical joint venture in Japan at that time. Likewise, Mr. Hulse worked in much the same capacity for a quarter billion dollar financing for a petrochemical complex in Texas.

Mr. Hulse remains active as a consultant in his field. He is also active on the board of NewIV Medical. Furthermore, he is presently on the advisory board of the Commercialization Center for Innovative Technology in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Mr. Hulse notably holds one patent in his field.

During the earliest stage of his career, Mr. Hulse was engaged civically as a director of the Gotham Light Opera Society in New York City between 1969 and 1973 and as a treasurer for the Bloomingdale House of Music in New York City between 1979 and 1984. More recently, he provided his expertise to the Palm Beach Theater Guild in Palm Beach, Florida, from 2008 to 2011. In support of his professional and personal endeavors, Mr. Hulse maintains membership with the Union League Club in New York City, the Nassau Club of Princeton, New Jersey, and the honor societies of Sigma Xi and Phi Beta Kappa.

Born in Niagara Falls, New York, Mr. Hulse pursued an education at the prestigious Princeton University, where he achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in 1965. Shortly thereafter, he completed a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering Practice and in Industrial Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1966 and 1968, respectively. Mr. Hulse was named as a University Scholar at Princeton University in 1961, received a Whitney fellowship in 1965 and a Swope fellowship in 1966 at MIT.
