Driven by a lifelong desire to become an attorney, Mr. Wasserman first attended Rice University, where he graduated, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2011. Following this accomplishment, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of California Berkeley's School of Law in 2015. While completing his law degree, Mr. Wasserman served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, where he drafted opinions and legal memoranda, conducted legal analysis and research and assisted the judge in courtroom proceedings and settlement conferences.
Supported by his professional expertise, Mr. Wasserman excels today as an associate with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. For the last five years, he has focused his practice on complex commercial and antitrust litigation, False Claims Act litigation, white-collar criminal defense matters, international investigations and breach of contract disputes in state and federal courts. Since joining the firm, Mr. Wasserman has advised an international organization in an internal investigation regarding public corruption and money laundering, and gained a plethora of trial and courtroom experience concerning the preparation of experts and witnesses for live testimony and drafting cross-examinations.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Wasserman aligns himself with the American Bar Association, the DC Bar Foundation's Young Lawyers Network, the State Bar of Texas and the DC LGBT Bar Association. Though his career has been suffused with highlights, with more yet to come, he is especially proud to have had a case dismissed on the eve of a trial that threatened his client's entire business model. Looking toward the future, Mr. Wasserman hopes to become a partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.
