As a naturally creative person, Ms. Menzia decided to pursue a career that allowed her to continue working with art and ventured into the field of graphic design. She subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in communications, advertising and graphic design from Marquette University. Beginning her career as an innovation consultant at The Commons, Ms. Menzia has also worked as a creative consultant manager for Blue and Gold Ventures and a part-time graphic design assistant for the Milwaukee World Festival Inc.
In 2019, Ms. Menzia notably developed and sold vegan ice cream. Upon launching her business, Liv a Little Vegan Ice Cream, she received more than 100 orders. Ms. Menzia offers 12 flavors of vegan ice cream made with coconut milk and oat milk while providing wholesale orders, catering services and local pop-up events.
As an accomplished professional, Ms. Menzia was recognized as the winner of an ice cream competition, from which she was presented with $7,500 and enabled her to establish her business. At her first pop-up event, she sold out of products in 36 minutes and sold 300 containers of ice cream. Additionally, Ms. Menzia was honored among Wisconsin Inno's Top 25 Under 25.
Over the years Ms. Menzia has attributed her professional success to her determination and her attitude. In her community, she has been active with Global Brigades Inc. and Camp SOAR (Special Outdoor Adaptive Recreation). In the coming years, Ms. Menzia plans to continue designing for the food and beverage industry as well as open a store for her ice cream business so that she may reach more customers.
