Originally intent on pursuing a career in architecture, Mr. Dunford undertook a class in politics and grew passionate toward the field of legal service. He received a Bachelor of Science in political science and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Utah. He gained valuable knowledge about law as a law clerk for Morgan, Minnock, Rice & James while attending the University of Utah. In the ensuing years, Mr. Dunford interned for Senator Robert Bennett, completed coursework at the Western State University College of Law and gained valuable expertise in the field as a law clerk for the Law Offices of Joshua Engle.
Mr. Dunford served as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary before graduating from the George Washington University Law School. Throughout the course of his career, he gained valuable expertise as a legal fellow and counsel in Washington D.C., and as a law clerk for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Columbia. Presently, Mr. Dunford serves as an assistant commonwealth's attorney for the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney for Halifax County, through which he handles general district court matters.
Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Dunford affiliates himself with the Federalist Society, the Virginia and District of Columbia Bar Associations, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Additionally, he serves as a moot court judge at George Washington University's Law School. Looking toward the future, Mr. Dunford intends to remain active in the same roles.
