After receiving an Associate of Arts in restaurant management and a Bachelor of Arts in hospitality, sales and meeting management from Johnson & Wales University, Ms. Brown, alongside her husband, resolved to purchase the restaurant of her in-laws. Presently, she has worked as the owner of Browns Restaurant for more than two decades, where she is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all tasks. Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Brown is most proud to have won the Best of the Shore in Philadelphia Magazine for Best Breakfast and Donuts.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Brown's restaurant has become a community staple in the Ocean City neighborhood. Proud to have created a welcoming atmosphere for all families and local residents, she has long strived to find ways to better serve the community through quality food and exceptional hospitality. A dedicated civic advocate, Ms. Brown is active with the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce, the Beacon Animal Rescue Plan, the Hero Campaign and similar veteran organizations, as well as the After-Prom Committee for Ocean City Schools.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Brown plans to open another restaurant location. She would also like to eventually pass the reins over to her son, James.
