CINCINNATI, OH, May 25, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Alfred K. Nippert Jr. with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Nippert celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Alfred K. Nippert, Jr. has practiced law for over 40 years in Cincinnati, Ohio and concurrently, over 20 years in Nashville Tennessee. He has limited his Practice to Personal Injury Litigation, (a Diplomat in AAJ), Probate, and Transportation Law. He attended Rhodes College in Memphis, and then graduated from University of Cincinnati Law School in 1974. He has been recognized by Top 100 Lawyers, American Leading Lawyers and Lawyers of Distinction. He has received recognition for his service to the profession by the AAJ in the Wiedemann-Wysocki Award in 2005. In further service to the profession, and continuing education, in 2001 he provided a major gift to the Tennessee Bar Association for the multimedia center named "Nippert Hall", which provides a professional location for providing CLEs to lawyers in the Nashville region. In 2005, another initiative to support continuing education occurred with his donation of his 70,000 volume Nippert and Nippert Law Library to the University of Cincinnati Law School. It became the largest in-kind gift ever received by the University.

Alfred K. Jr. was admitted to the Ohio Bar in (1974). At the federal level, he is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, 6th. Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. District Courts for Southern Ohio, and the Middle District of Tennessee. He also has served as Chairman of Arbitration Panels for the Hamilton County Ohio Common Pleas Courts for 15 years. He is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, the Ohio Association for Justice, and former Board member of OAJ and is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Tennessee Association for Justice. Nationally, he is a member of the American Bar Association, Transportation Law Professionals, and the American Association for Justice. He has served as a Board member for 20 years on the Robert Habush Endowment Committee of AAJ.

To understand Mr. Nippert's satisfaction with and service to the profession and community, requires knowing the history of some of those who preceded him in the oldest father to son Law Firm in Ohio. Alfred K. Nippert Jr. grew up in a family of Law Professionals. The original founders of Nippert and Nippert Law Firm were his uncle, Carl Louis Nippert, (1852- 1904) who was Lt. Governor of Ohio in 1904, and Probate Judge for Hamilton County, and his father, Alfred K. Nippert, Sr. (1872- 1956). Both were graduates of the University of Cincinnati Law School. His father was a Common Pleas Judge for Hamilton County Ohio 1916. Alfred K. Nippert, Sr. also served as a Special Envoy for President Woodrow Wilson to Germany in 1917 while the United States was neutral. Judge Alfred K. Nippert, Sr.'s older sons, James and Louis, also attended University of Cincinnati Law School. James, then a senior at UC Law School, died as a result of an injury during the 1923 Homecoming Football game against Miami of Ohio. UC's "Nippert Stadium" is named in his honor. It is the only major university stadium in the United States named for a student player who died as a result of an injury sustained on the field. Jimmy's younger brother, Louis practiced law in the Firm for over 50 years. While serving as a Colonel in the U.S. Army, Louis handled the Tuskegee Air men investigations exonerating the enlisted men, laying fault at the Officers feet. The law firm handled transportation matters since the era of narrow-gauge railways, and RMS Lusitania claims.

Alfred Jr. founded Southeastern Railway Services, Inc., and has guest lectured at the University of Tennessee Transportation School's Track Inspection Seminars for 25 years. Other family in the legal field were Austin Anderson, Sr. and John Bertucci. Both uncles, now deceased were licensed in Louisiana. John's daughter Gwen Nachman is retired, but her daughter Rachel Pope is currently in practice. Cousin Austin Anderson, Jr. is a Special Trial Consultant for the state of Florida.

In support of community service, Alfred K. Nippert Sr., Louis Nippert, and Alfred Jr., have all served on the Boards of The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Hamilton County Ohio YMCA. They also served as General Counsel for both entities as well. Alfred Jr. continues to serve on the UC Dean's Library Advisory Council as well as volunteer at the Beechwood Home for the Neurologically Impaired by providing weekly readings and storytelling to the residents. Mary B. Nippert, daughter of Alfred Jr., was Honorary Council to Estonia (2015 – 2020) and she and her father continue to be active in the Sister Cities Program. Alfred's grandfather was Ludwig Nippert, D.D. who was a Methodist Pastor and Missionary. The shadow of history, and religious service has called Alfred Jr. to also volunteer as in the non-denominational Stephens's Ministry.

Alfred's other interests include history and genealogy. He has traced the family through most Battles of the American Civil War on both sides, the Revolutionary War, and Colonial Wars to Virginia in 1620, and New England's Winthrop Fleet. Further research has pushed the family lineage through English history to the Magna Carta, the Battle of Hastings, and into Europe. Another interest is in natural medicine which led him to portray a Field Pharmacist as a life member of the Society of Civil War Surgeons.

Alfred is married to Kathleen Habig Nippert, who is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount St, Joseph University, and Master of Nursing Administration from the University of Cincinnati. She was awarded a Doctorate in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. She practices as a consultant and Adjunct Professor teaching graduate-level Healthcare Strategy and Operations.

Alfred K. Nippert's greatest professional satisfaction has come from service to clients and the profession through continuous legal education. One particular case of Lepera v. Fuson (83 Ohio App. 3rd 17,1992) where he provided justice for the granddaughter of a fellow farm worker on his brother's farm, is a career highlight.
