Marc D. Rappaport Celebrated for Dedication to the Energy Industry

Mr. Rappaport channels years of expertise in alternative and renewable energy into his work with Rappaport Energy Consulting LLC

RIDGEFIELD, WA, June 03, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marc D. Rappaport has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

At the age of seven, Mr. Rappaport accompanied his father to a nuclear facility in Princeton, New Jersey, and learned much about the operation of mechanical arms and the manipulation of radioactive materials. Following this occasion, his physics teacher, who was a graduate of the University of California Berkeley, arranged for students to tour the nuclear research lab, which included a small nuclear reactor. Thus inspired, Mr. Rappaport resolved to pursue his career ambitions accordingly.

Drawing on years of expertise in alternative energy, renewable energy, project management, energy efficiency and more, Mr. Rappaport excels today as the chief executive officer of Rappaport Energy Consulting LLC. Prior to obtaining his current role, he gained valuable expertise in the field as the managing partner and founder of Biomass One, where he served between the 1980s and 1990s. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Rappaport also received the basic patent for the geothermal-solar thermal hybrid power generating system.

Before embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Rappaport graduated from California State University, East Bay, in 1969. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Al Gore Climate Reality Leadership Corps. Previously, he was a member of the New York Academy of Sciences. In conjunction with his work, Mr. Rappaport has contributed to his community through the Clackamas Service Center, Clackamas County Democrats and the Renewable Energy Scholarship Foundation, which he established.

In light of his outstanding breadth of knowledge, Mr. Rappaport authored "On the Verge of Tomorrow". He was invited to speak at The Sustainability of the Planet conference in Stockholm, Sweden hosted by the Nobel Institute, the E.U., and the U.N.E.C. in 2007. Even though his career has been suffused with highlights, he is most proud to have been invited to speak at the sustainability conference, the only American so invited of fourteen speakers. He designed and built an energy-efficient house boat out of recycled materials that was featured in the Christian Science Monitor. Looking toward the future, Mr. Rappaport intends to remain open to new opportunities and possibly turn his book into a Netflix film.
