As a leader in his field, Dr. Norman serves as the laboratory director for numerous medical facilities, including the Cincinnati Comprehensive Pain Center, the Pain Evaluation and Management Center of Ohio, the Dayton Pain Center and Lexar Laboratory & Analysis LLC. Likewise, he is the president and chief executive officer of the Norman Clinical Laboratory Inc., and previously found success as the laboratory director of various other facilities, including Amin Family Practice Associates PSC, Life Spring Recovery, Associated Pain Medicine, Cornerstone Project, LLC, DNA Diagnostic Services Inc., the Molecular Diagnostic Research Center Inc. and Norman Clinical Laboratory. From 1992 until 1993, Dr. Norman maintained involvement as the director of analytical research of the Monarch Foundation, after contributing as an assistant professor from 1981 to 1992 and an instructor from 1977 to 1981 of the University of Cincinnati, as well as a teacher and a research assistant of Texas A&M University from 1970 to 1977.

Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Dr. Norman pursued an education at the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, now known as the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in physics in 1964. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1970, he earned a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy from Texas A&M University in 1972 and 1977, respectively. As a retired colonel in the U.S. Army, Dr. Norman also remained active in the reserves until 1997.

Recognized for his extraordinary military service, Dr. Norman was presented with a Decorated Legion of Merit in 1996 and a Bronze Star in 1969. As a civilian, he was selected for inclusion in University City High School's Hall of Fame, as well as the Beta-Chi Chapter of Kappa Sigma, Missouri University of Science and Technology's Hall of Fame. Civically engaged, Dr. Norman volunteers as a board member of such organizations as Youth for All Nations, the Creation Research Science Education Foundation Inc. and the Macedonian Child Outreach Project in Jinja, Uganda.
