Marilyn Hochheiser Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Ms. Hochheiser has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the fields of ministry and arts and entertainment

SIMI VALLEY, CA, June 09, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Marilyn Hochheiser with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Hochheiser celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Exploring her creativity while recovering from a serious injury as a child, Ms. Hochheiser began to read and write short stories and poetry at the age of 13. Over the years, her passion became more concrete when she became a freelance writing consultant in 1975. Within just one year, she was hired as an editor for Verve Poetry Magazine and as an instructor of creative writing for Simi Valley Adult Education. As Ms. Hochheiser's budding career began to take shape, she founded and began moderating the Simi Valley Poetry Series in 1975, which remained active for more than two decades.

Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Hochheiser secured other positions as the editor of poetry for Ventura County Woman in Ventura, California, as an actress for American Broad Caste Network in Hollywood, California, and as a producer and moderator for Christian Videos in Inglewood, California. Presently, she has focused on her second passion of religious services at Glory House Ministries in Simi Valley, California, since 1992. Eminently qualified in her field, Ms. Hochheiser was licensed as a practical nurse through the Los Angeles Trade Technical College in 1959 and certified as a writing instructor through California Lutheran College in 1979. She is also an ordained minister through the Glory House Ministries.

Having become an award-winning writer, some of Ms. Hochheiser's near two dozen written works include "My Father was a Bear Hunter," which received a First Place Award from the Arkansas Benton County Sesquicentennial in 1986, and "Ambush," which also received a First Place Award from the National League of American Pen Women in 1992. Her latest book of poetry, published through Cyberwit Publishers, was released in 2020 and titled "Death of Things Left Behind," and can be purchased on Amazon.com or Cyberwit.net Ms. Hochheiser also contributed numerous articles to various professional publications and magazines, including Oasis Journal in 2007.

Supporting her writing career, Ms. Hochheiser has been a prominent member of the American Society of Composers, the Academy of American Poets, and the First Stage Poets and Writers. She was a member and Woman of Achievement Award recipient of the National League of American Pen Women. Drawing her inspiration from such well-known American poets as William Stafford and writers like Howard Sargent and Roland John, one the keys to Ms. Hochheiser's success was to always finish what she started, whether it was a poem, story or song lyric. Outside of her writing awards, she was honored with a Veterans Award from the Tony Diamond Brotherhoods Rally of Veterans organization and a Simi Valley Distinguished Service Award.
