Always passionate about a career in the health care industry, Ms. Grippo has excelled as the co-manager and a nurse practitioner of Lackawanna Medical Group since 2014. Beyond her primary engagements, she has been elected a speaker for the gastroenterology division of Allergan Pharmaceuticals since 2017, as well as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students at the University of Scranton and Misericordia University since 2014. Prior to these appointments, she worked as a charge nurse and a registered staff nurse in the orthopedic and medical surgery units at Moses Taylor Hospital from 2008 to 2013.
Prior to embarking on her impressive career, Ms. Grippo pursued an education at Wilkes University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. From 2011 to 2012, she served as a registered nurse instructor for sophomore-level students at the aforementioned academic institution. Following these accomplishments, Ms. Grippo earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Scranton in 2013.
A certified registered nurse practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners since 2013 and a registered nurse since 2008, Ms. Grippo is certified in basic cardiac life support and has experience in cosmetic injectable office-based procedures, where she has developed a very large aesthetic practice over the past 5 years. Likewise, she is a certified medical examiner.
Involved with her community, Ms. Grippo volunteered at the Edward R. Leahy Jr. Center Clinic for the Uninsured at the University of Scranton from 2011 to 2013, where she also was involved with a discussion on contract negotiations and presented oral reports for student nurse practitioners between 2015 and 2017. Notably, Ms. Grippo remains active with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and the Pennsylvania Action Coalition.
