For more than 25 years, Dr. Cavataio has been practicing as a Board Certified family physician specializing interest in geriatrics/addictions medicine. Affiliated with Physician Healthcare Network in Marysville, he has been serving patients throughout St. Clair and Macomb Counties in Michigan. Notably, the aforementioned physician group has multiple locations, including three walk-in clinics.
In addition to treating patients, Dr. Cavataio serves on the board of the Physician Healthcare Network. He has been associated with several regional hospitals as well, including Ascension River District Hospital, Lake Huron Medical Center, McLaren Port Huron Hospital, and Medical Director of St. Clair medlodge nursing home. Fluent in Italian and Spanish, Dr. Cavataio has also utilized his lingual versatility to his advantage to make patients feel more comfortable.
Born in Italy, Dr. Cavataio was motivated by his affinity for the sciences, especially biology and chemistry as well as his passion for interacting with others. He subsequently obtained a medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, later completing his residency in family medicine at Bon Secours Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He has been board certified in family medicine and holds a medical license in the state of Michigan. An elected fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine, Dr. Cavataio has also been recognized as a Leading Resident and accepted a Drexel Welcome Award. He also served as Chief, Family Section at Mercy Hospital, Port Huron.
