NEW YORK, NY, June 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Lois Gold with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Gold celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Celebrating a career as an artist spanning nearly 45 years, Ms. Gold specializes in paintings, works on paper, treescapes, small landscapes, decorative boxes and art installation. She has been represented by the Cavalier Gallery, the Flinn Gallery, the Morrison Gallery, the Martha Keats Gallery and the Lizan-Tops Gallery. Additionally she has obtained representation from the National Association of Women Artists Inc., Ruzetti and Gow, Karin Zatt and Canyon Ranch. Throughout her career, Ms. Gold has applied techniques of abstract, mixed media and collage and has participated in every medium except oil.

Ms. Gold attributes her interest in art to her mother, who collected art in the 1940s and regularly attended museums and galleries. At the age of 13, she accompanied her mother to Europe, during which time she was mesmerized by works such as Claude Monet's "Water Lillies in Paris." Furthermore, Ms. Gold has studied at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Design.

Ms. Gold obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University in 1967 and a Master of Arts in French from Columbia University in 1970. Though she initially worked as a teacher at the Birch Wathen Lenox School from 1972 to 1984 and the Columbia Grammar School from 1975 to 1976, she ultimately followed her passion to pursue a full-time career as an artist after she began experimenting with watercolors. Ms. Gold previously maintained her affiliation with the Studio Center Artist's Association, the Cassatt Pastel Society, the Pastel Society of America, the International Association of Pastel Societies and the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Notably, Ms. Gold's work has been featured within Bristol Myers Squibb, Imperial Oil, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Boston University and the Four Seasons Hotel in Dallas, Texas. She has been included as a featured artist in The Artist's Magazine, Dan's Papers, Pastel Artist International, Pastel Journal, The Pastel Artist's Bible and Pure Color: The Best of Pastel. Additionally, her art has been featured in nearly 15 solo exhibitions, nearly 60 group exhibitions, and in the permanent collection of the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art. Ms. Gold is proud to have been the featured cover artist for The Rattle Poetry Magazine in 2008.

Ms. Gold's art has garnered many accolades, including the Pastel Artist's Bible Award, the Artist's Magazine Landscape Award, the Best of Flower Painting Award, the Artaviva.com Mixed Media Painting Award, the International Biographical Center's 21st Century Achievement Award and the National Association of Women Artists' Pauline Law Award. She credits her success to her ability to concentrate and discipline herself. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gold hopes to continue offering private watercolor instruction in her studio.
