Recently retired since 2020, Mr. Cebulko was a medical coding and compliance professional for Advocate Aurora Health Care for nearly 20 years, a not-for-profit health care system with headquarters in Milwaukee and Downers Grove, Illinois. Working as a supervisor in the department of coding education and compliance during the latter part of his career, he was responsible for overseeing four coders, as well as verifying billing and payment processes and conducting end-of-year audits and one-on-one reviews. Prior to joining the organization in 2003, Mr. Cebulko worked in finance. He transitioned into medical coding and compliance after learning of a huge growth opportunity in the field.
As a member of his local community, Mr. Cebulko is very active in his local church, the Jesus Shepherd of Souls Church, where he oversees food coordination and food preparation for its annual festival. Noting that it is a wonderful opportunity to socialize with other members of the parish, he finds the event engaging and fun. Mr. Cebulko is also active as a volunteer and supporter of such organizations as the American Heart Association and the March of Dimes. He is a lifelong blood donor with Vitalant and the American Red Cross since his college days. He is constantly looking for volunteer opportunities.
Mr. Cebulko is an alumnus of DePaul University in Chicago. He has held a Bachelor of Science in accounting since 1974 and a Master of Business Administration since 1995. Supporting his career, he has been a prominent member of the American Health Information Management Association and the Institute of Management Accountants. Recognizing his achievements, Mr. Cebulko was featured as Executive of the Year in Health Care by Worldwide Branding in 2017. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has also been cited in the 71st edition of Who's Who in America.
