Since 1998, he has established himself as a sole practitioner, certified public accountant, and an attorney at Martinez and Torres Law Offices, PSC. Applying his expertise in auditing and taxes, he is honored to represent financial institutions and other creditors. He began his career at Price Waterhouse in 1990, serving in that role through 1996.
Fostering a love for mathematics at a young age, Mr. Martinez knew that pursuing a career in accounting was the right choice for him. As a result, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Puerto Rico in 1988. Thereafter, he began studying law and earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico in 1994. He was subsequently licensed to practice law by the Puerto Rico Bar Association, as well as before the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Additionally, he is a notary public.
Mr. Martinez is gratified to have grown his business from its humble beginnings with only a handful of employees to almost 100 employees. He is proud of the work he and his team have done during the coronavirus pandemic in order to keep their business thriving. Throughout his career, he has maintained professional affiliation with the United States Foreclosure Network, American Mortgage Banking Attorneys and the Puerto Rico Bar Association. For his accomplishments, he is proud to have been presented with the Excellence Award from Price Waterhouse in 1992. Looking toward the future, he plans to ease into a well-deserved retirement and revel in a lifetime of successes.
