He is a graduate of the leadership development program at the National University of Singapore and the IA Advocacy Program at Universite Sorbonne in Paris. Specializing in projects and construction at Reed Smith in the Energy and Natural Resources Industry Group, Mr. Smiley's clients include multinational renewables companies, oil and gas companies, global mining companies and leading infrastructure and energy contractors. He has authored numerous articles for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the International Construction Law Review. Additionally, he has maintained affiliations with the Society of Construction Law in North America, the United Kingdom and Australia. For his accomplishments, he is proud to have been the recipient of the Brooking Prize and is recognized as a a Rising Star by Legal 500, Expert Guides and Chambers USA.
