Mr. Torricella subsequently earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law.
After obtaining a law degree, Mr. Torricella was admitted to practice law before the courts of the State of Florida by the Florida Bar, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He began his career as an associate in the Law Offices of Carlos E. Casuso as well as with Zack, Hanzman, Ponce & Tucker. Mr. Torricella further flourished as a partner at Anania, Bandklayder, Baumgarten, Torricella & Stein and Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker.
Mr. Torricella currently excels as a managing member of Torricella Law PLLC. In his current practice, he focuses on civil and commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on insurance defense, aviation, business, and construction defect litigation, as well as with contract drafting, negotiation and dispute resolution. His firm helps businesses and individuals resolve complex legal issues both in and out of court. He is best known for his successful handling of the events surrounding the September 29, 2006 midair collision involving GOL Airlines Flight 1907, where he represented ExcelAire, LLC and its pilots during their detention in Brazil. The incident and its aftermath captured international media attention and had far-reaching impacts both in and outside the Brazilian and international aviation systems.
As an accomplished legal professional, Mr. Torricella consistently has been peer-rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. A senior fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary society of trial lawyers, he was notably recognized among Florida Super Lawyers and South Florida's Top-Rated Lawyers.
