As a project manager for SVR Inc LLC in Mission, Dr. Woods is responsible for the general management of the aforementioned business, as well as the oversight of employees. She also supervises many employees that are rewriting and monitoring student dissertations at various universities. Becoming involved in her profession after a successful venture in Los Angeles and the Pacific Northwest as a data specialist, Dr. Woods discovered that many students were lacking the encouragement and the support necessary to complete their studies.
Combining her professional and community goals, Dr. Woods hopes to transform neighborhoods to make lasting change and set an example for other areas. She is affiliated with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the Ashford University Honor Society, the U.S. Deputy Sheriff's Association and the BB Successful Society, among others. Prior to her tenure in Kansas, Dr. Woods found success with Lexis Nexis in Tulsa, Oklahoma between 1993 to 2007.
Born in Texas, Dr. Woods initially graduated from Hungerford Consolidated High School. She notably obtained several associate's degrees and bachelor's degrees, including a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Ashford University in San Diego. Dr. Woods has also earned a Doctor of Business Administration in business leadership from Walden University in Minneapolis.
Dr. Woods has been honored with 13 Certificates of Appreciation from the American Heart Association. Recognized as the Donor of the Year by the U.S. Deputy Sheriff's Association, she received a Patriot of the Year Award from Help Heal Veterans and a Peace and Blessings Award from the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Furthermore, Dr. Woods is currently in the process of establishing another business.
