SAN DIEGO, CA, July 09, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present John Edward Tomaschke with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Tomaschke celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University in 1972, Mr. Tomaschke was subsequently recruited as a chemistry technician for the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. He thrived in this role for six years before finding further success as a membrane chemist from 1978 until 1989. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, he flourished as the director of research and development for Hyranautics. In 2010, Mr. Tomaschke advanced to his current post at Campbell Membrane Technologies Inc., where he continues to excel as a research chemist.

Throughout his 50-year career, Mr. Tomaschke has secured eight patents related to membrane chemistry and development. He attributes a great deal of his success to a childhood neighbor who had an affinity for pyrotechnics. Fascinated by the spectacle of his neighbor's homemade creations, he was also curious about how they operated on a chemical level. The friendship inspired Mr. Tomaschke's passion for chemistry, and the two remain friends to this day.

In addition to his remarkable achievements in chemistry, Mr. Tomaschke found success as a track and field athlete for over 30 years. During this period, he was frequently ranked among the top 5 in the U.S. in several events, such as the triple jump and long jump. Mr. Tomaschke remains an active affiliate of U.S.A. Track and Field, along with the American Chemical Society.
