Nancy Hall Gieniec Celebrated for Excellence in the Field of Education

Ms. Gieniec has applied her expertise in teaching communication skills and business to students of all ages



    LANCASTER, PA, July 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nancy Hall Gieniec has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a natural grasp on the English language, Ms. Gieniec has inspired countless generations of students and peers. Early in her career, she established herself as a high school English and speech teacher in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. For over a decade, she found success as the director of Contact for the Lancaster County Council of Churches. She further excelled as a teacher for the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations. As well as for numerous non-profit agencies such as Hospice, Office of the Aging, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, and the local AFLCIO, as well as workshops throughout the United States and Africa. During the years 1985 and 2001, she was associated with the ID Counseling Business and started a business called Concentrix, a retail shop.

Ms. Gieniec did not know what career path that she wanted when she arrived at college, though she greatly enjoyed English, critical reading, public speaking and drama. While active as a student teacher, she discovered a passion in working with high school students. Ms. Gieniec obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English language and literature from Lycoming College in 1959 and a Master of Arts in religion from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 1984. Ms. Gieniec also served as the President of NASCOD, the professional organization of CONTACT Directors. After she concluded her work with the Council of Churches, she was asked to become a member of the National Board of CONTACT, USA, and, subsequently, became the Chairman of the Board of CONTACT, USA. She has continued her affiliation with the Federated Women's Clubs of America and has been invited back to student reunions of students she taught while in Bucks County.

Additionally, she was appointed as the chairperson for the National Contact Organization and the chairman of the board for Contact USA. Utilizing her natural public speaking skills, she has presented at various seminars for Lifeline International. She also worked as the keynote speaker at the international conference for Pilot International. Topics include, but are not limited to: communication skills, suicide, grief, aging, perspective, dreams, etc.

Ms. Gieniec is likewise recognized as trustee emeritus on the board of directors at Lycoming College. In her free time, she volunteers with numerous non-profit agencies. Ms. Gieniec dedicates her spare time to her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
