Robert L. Foster, MS, ARRT, Recognized for Excellence in Radiology

    SCHAUMBURG, IL, July 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert L. Foster, MS, ARRT, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Before college, Mr. Foster spent his summers as a camper and eventually counselor at a YMCA camp, Camp Lakewood in Potosi, Missouri. After college, he enjoyed a fulfilling career in health care that spanned more than three decades. Before his retirement in 2014, his expertise was in marketing, diagnostic imaging, and technical writing. Mr. Foster has worked in multiple roles over the years, such as a PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) administrator to the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System from 2004 until 20 I2, and ending his career as a PACS/OB-GYN consultant for the same institution from 2013 to 2014.

Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Foster earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education and English from Bradley University in 1969. From 1969 to 1974, he completed service in the U.S. Air Force, through which he served as a navigator and advanced to the rank of captain. During his tour of duty, which included several trips to U-Tapao, Thailand for service in the Vietnam War, he accumulated over 2000 hours flight time, which earned him an Air Medal. After being honorably discharged, he returned to his education at Eastern Michigan University, where he earned a Master of Science in Biology in 1979. Mr. Foster subsequently trained at the University of Michigan to be a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, after which he received certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). In 1996 he earned a Paralegal Certificate from Harper College with a 4.0 average, then went on to earn a total of 65 credit hours in Computer Science from Harper, then Northern Illinois University. In total he earned more than 350 college/graduate credit hours from 6 colleges.

A prolific writer, Mr. Foster authored his magnum opus in 2019, titled "What Is ... Answers to Some Perplexing Questions in Science and Life," which he spent over four years writing and another year publishing. It deals with such questions as: What is consciousness? What is the origin of animal life on Earth? What is time? In the future, Mr. Foster wishes to continue writing and exploring such questions as the nature of truth, the meaning of life, and the secret of success.
