Driven by his love for the sciences, Dr. D'Addesio pursued a career as a physician. After earning a bachelor's degree in biology, philosophy and pre-medicine from Fordham University in 1973, he obtained a Doctor of Medicine from Albany Medical College and completed his residency. Backed by his extensive expertise, he currently excels as a physician specializing in emergency medicine for TeamHealth, for which he deals with a wide variety of emergencies, including trauma victims, cardiac emergencies, victims of stroke and those who have been put on respirators, among others.
Due to his considerable knowledge, Dr. D'Addesio has also taught as a professor with Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the University of Texas. Though his career has been filled with highlights, he is incredibly proud of raising wonderful children who have grown to be exceptional professionals themselves. Professionally, Dr. D'Addesio has experienced many career highlights, including his tenure as a teacher, becoming board certified in internal medicine and garnering an additional certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. D'Addesio is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians. Alongside his primary work in medicine, he contributes to the Italian Cultural Society of Houston. Looking toward the future, Dr. D'Addesio aims to eventually retire as a physician so that he can focus solely on teaching and traveling to visit family and friends. Currently, he is working at assigned hospitals, and is proctoring young clinicians.
