There were very few women in the trucking industry in the 1990's. She went to work for Werner Enterprise where she became the first female outside recruiter for this industry. She traveled throughout the Midwest, calling on truck driving schools and colleges, as well as having held various seminars to promote the truck driving career field. In 1995, upon relocating to Phoenix, AZ, Ms. Lee broadened her knowledge and experiences as she transitioned into transportation safety, a role in which she has served for over twenty-five years.
For the past fourteen years, Ms. Lee has been the CEO of her own transportation safety consulting company known as National Enforcement Safety Training LLC (N.E.S.T.). Her client base is made up of small to medium sized trucking companies that are required to maintain compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) regulations, and as such, reply on N.E.S.T. to oversee, document and ensure such compliance. In this regard, she and her staff prepare for and represent her clients during USDOT audits, with the realized goal of preventing violations and associated fines.
Some of Ms. Lee's major accomplishments of her career include Certification in Reasonable Suspicion Drug and Alcohol Testing, holding office in the Arizona Trucking Association for two years, being a member of Toastmasters International, and being one of only a few full-service safety and compliance companies for the trucking industry.
