A leader in her field, Ms. Kocurek has excelled as the president of the Caldwell Education and Leadership Foundation since 2017 and the co-owner of Summit Pump and Safety in Caldwell since 2009. Currently a speech therapist at a local hospital, she previously worked for the Lexington Independent School District and the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. Notably, Ms. Kocurek has been certified as an education foundation leader through the National School Foundation Association since 2020.
In order to prepare for her impressive career, Ms. Kocurek began her academic studies at Blinn College, graduating with an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science. Earning a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, she later obtained a Master of Science in communication sciences and disorders from Texas Woman's University and a Master of Arts in agricultural communication from Oklahoma State University. Ms. Kocurek is currently pursuing a doctorate from Baylor University.
Ms. Kocurek notably contributes to the Caldwell Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization, the Burleson County Go Texan Association, the Deanville Heritage Foundation, the Deanville lodge of Hermann Sons-Life, Dime Box Lions Club, Burleson County Little League, the Caldwell Recreational Association and the Domestic Violence Task Force of Burleson County. She serves as a committee leader of the Burleson County Fair Pet Show, she further serves as the treasurer of St. John's Lutheran Church in Deanville, Texas. Recognized for her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Kocurek was presented with the Jefferson Award from the American Institute for Public Service in 2020.
