After earning a bachelor's degree in business management from Tennessee State University, Ms. Nazeem accepted a position with Welltech. She was then hired by FieldCore, a power generating company under the General Electric umbrella, until she was elevated to the role of environmental, health and safety manager. In her current post, Ms. Nazeem ensures that their projects are completed in the safest ways possible for employees and for the environment around them.
Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Nazeem was previously affiliated with Phi Beta Lambda. Outside of her primary responsibilities, she contributes to those less fortunate as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. In light of her professional achievements, Ms. Nazeem has been honored on several occasions, having been presented with an Excellence in Quality Leadership and Safety Award from North Region Power Services as well as Core Awards for Excellent Work Performance.
Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Nazeem is incredibly proud of her efforts as a mother. After her divorce, she was tasked with raising her daughter on her own. As a child, her daughter was diagnosed with cancer. Her daughter is now cancer free, but the experience of raising her through that time has made her who she is today. Within the coming years, Ms. Nazeem will remain open to new opportunities, including the possibility of retirement.
