After earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1984, Ms. Brandon furthered her education with a Master of Science in accounting from the University of Colorado at Denver, with a minor in economics, in 1992. She has subsequently excelled as an accountant, controller and accounting manager with several firms in the Denver area from 1995 to the present, including Sundstrand, Erie County Investment Co., Samson Oil and Gas USA Inc., CoBank, Savant Alaska LLC, Comcast Spotlight, and At the Beach Tanning. In these capacities, Ms. Brandon prepared financial statements, supervised accounts payable and accounts receivable, expedited and organized bank/account reconciliations and journal entries, improved and created policies, procedures and checklists, and supervised the accounting staff.

Ms. Brandon obtained a certified public accountant (CPA) designation from the State of Colorado in 1992 and was named as a chartered global management accountant (CGMA) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2019. In addition, she is a member of the Colorado Society of Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants.

Ms. Brandon was encouraged to enter her profession by her brother-in-law, a certified public accountant. In a career suffused with highlights, she is most proud to have aided an Australia-based oil and gas company in going public on the New York Stock Exchange. For 15 years, she has served as a volunteer board member on the finance committee of the Cat Care Society, which is based in Lakewood, Colorado. In accounting for her standout success, Ms. Brandon credits her persistence and dedication.
