Robyn Starr-Mendez Celebrated for Success as an Educator

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY, August 04, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robyn Starr-Mendez has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing inspiration from the example of her family, Ms. Starr-Mendez resolved to become an educator. She initially pursued her own academic efforts at the State University of New York at Fredonia, from which she obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology, with the intention of moving on to a career in counseling. However, Ms. Starr-Mendez soon realized that counseling was not for her.

In 1996, Ms. Starr-Mendez obtained a master's degree in social studies education from Buffalo State College. Thereafter, she began to work as a teacher, and served in this capacity for over 30 years. Moreover, Ms. Starr-Mendez was employed as a leader in mentoring at Alden Central School District in New York for 25 years.

Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Starr-Mendez taught social studies to both seventh and eighth grade students. She earned her teacher certification from Daemen College. Presently residing in Williamsville, New York, Ms. Starr-Mendez intends to retire from her profession within the next year and spend more time with her husband, though she intends to continue training and mentoring prospective teachers well into the future.
