Mr. Fioretti, of Roth Fioretti, LLC, is a skilled litigator who has been representing his own firm in the heart of Chicago over the past six years. Established in 2015 after serving as an alderman for the Second Ward, City of Chicago, from 2007 to 2015 and as partner at the firm of Fioretti & Lower Ltd. in Chicago for three years prior, he notably brings with him decades of expertise. Focusing his practice on government law, complex litigation, and civil rights, he has extensive experience handling cases in both state and federal courts. His record also includes over 100 state and federal verdicts and appellate court decisions. Working alongside a small team of attorneys, Mr. Fioretti's boutique law firm specializes in business law, including contracts, negotiations, and drafting, intellectual property rights, civil rights, and litigation.

As a former senior supervising attorney of the general litigation division for the corporation council for the City of Chicago, Mr. Fioretti was involved in approximately 500 civil rights cases. His tenure also included being appointed as a special assistant attorney general of Illinois and special assistant state's attorney on multiple occasions.

During his years as an Alderman, Fioretti was instrumental in the area of education, he championing the safe passage program for Chicago Public School students to travel to school safely. He was a promoter of community development, revitalizing numerous parks and recreation options within the ward he served which included Chicago's Lakefront Property. His back-to-school sponsored event provided health screenings, school supplies, and transportation opportunities to all those who needed these necessary services to start off each school year. Fioretti is a proponent for job growth, providing copious job opportunities to his constituents and developing programs to assist in housing, physical and mental health services, and screenings, all whilst performing his responsibilities as a lawyer.

Mr. Fioretti is also a frequent contributor of various bar and school publications and remains an active adjunct faculty member at his alma mater, Northern Illinois University (NIU). He has been active with NIU's Law School, the board of visitors, and an executive committee member and he has served in the alumni council.

Involved in his community, Mr. Fioretti has served as a board member and officer of the George M. Pullman Educational Foundation in Chicago, an organization that provides numerous four-year college scholarships to students in need annually. He is a past president and former board of directors' member of the Pullman Historical Foundation, where he helped secure $10 million in state funding to preserve the Pullman Clocktower after a tragic fire. Among other initiatives, he served on the advisory board of the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center. He held the position of vice president of development for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. His support of Veterans by providing job opportunities, counseling, and needed services is a mission Fioretti is strongly committed too. Fioretti continues to be influential in various capacities on behalf of NIU.

In 2019, Mr. Fioretti authored a book titled "My Cancer Journey." The second edition was recently published in 2021. He is active in supporting cancer charities, counseling cancer patients, and remains an advocated for enhanced quality care and support services for cancer victims. Mr. Fioretti received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Illinois in 1975 with the assistance of a Pullman Foundation scholarship, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence from NIU in 1978. He is admitted to practice by the Illinois and New York Bar Associations, the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Central and Northern Districts of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Since embarking upon his career, Mr. Fioretti has become a member of numerous organizations. He has held leadership positions with the NIU Alumni Association, is a past president of the NIU College of Law alumni council, former board of directors, member of the Federal Bar Association, he serves as vice chairman of the anti-human trafficking committee and former co-chairman of the hearing division's judicial evaluation committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Mr. Fioretti remains a member of the Chicago Bar Association's board of managers, a position he was nominated and confirmed in 2021. Fioretti was elected to the Illinois State Bar Association Assembly, he presently serves on its Government Lawyers Committee, and served as President of the Northern Illinois University Law School and was the President of the NIU University Alumni Association. Fioretti was a catalyst in the concept and construction of the NIU campus visitor's center. He was instrumental in the creation of the NIU alumni travel program and the alumni magazine. Fioretti has been called upon to deliver numerous commencement speeches to High Schools, Universities and Law Schools.

One of Mr. Fioretti's greatest accomplishments was funding a scholarship in his parent's names, which goes to a graduating third-year law student each year. In 2008, he also received an honorary Doctor of Laws from East-West University. Additionally, he has received a multitude of awards and other recognitions throughout the course of his career, including the Moses W. Harrison Award from the Justinian Society of Lawyers in 2017, a Leadership Recognition Award from the WBAI in 2016, and a Public Service Award from NIU in 2016. He also received numerous service accolades, including a Certificate of Appreciation from the Bronzville Community Action Council.2014, An Elected Official Award from the Chicago Defenders Charities, Inc., in 2014, and an Outstanding Commitment to the African American Community in Pursuit of Higher Education from the NIU Black Alumni Council in 2006. Furthermore, Mr. Fioretti has been named to Super Lawyers and is an AV-Rated Attorney through Martindale-Hubbell. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has been cited in close to 30 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, and Who's Who in American Politics.
