Ms. Donato is fluent in Spanish as Spanish was her first language before learning to speak English.
Ms. Donato is currently flourishing as a realtor in Santa Cruz California with the company she works at with David Lyng Real Estate also known as American Dream Realty. She has been honored with multiple accolades since 1993, including awards from the Santa Cruz Association of Realtors as a top Sales Specialist, and a Top Producer from American Dream Realty for Listing and selling the most residential properties in the Santa Cruz County.

According to Ms. Donato, encountering former clients with whom she has enjoyed success and hearing of the major profits that her clients have accrued when representing them as buyers and sellers is the most fulfilling aspect of her career as a realtor. She additionally cites growing up in California in the 1960's, when opportunities for people of color were infrequent, as a chief inspiration for helping people own the American Dream by acquiring real estate. Ms. Donato has been writing since she was in high school, citing it as a comforting aspect in her life, and hopes to make is a successful second career in the coming years.
