Dr. Linda Dixon with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Rev. Dr. Dixon celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Rev. Dr. Dixon is a school psychologist for Arlington Central School District in Lagrangeville, New York. Working closely with students since 2004, she is devoted to ensuring that every student enjoys a healthy and safe environment, while also encouraging positive relationships with teachers, other faculty and parents. Among her many responsibilities, she conducts psychoeducational assessments and provides counseling and interventions. Rev. Dr. Dixon formerly spent three years in the same position at Pine Plains Central School District in Pine Plains, New York, serving K-6 graders.

Possessing a career that began in 1989, Rev. Dr. Dixon was hired as a community marketing and counseling representative for Sandypines Hospital in Tequesta, Florida, where she offered community outreach counseling and crisis intervention to at-risk children and adolescents. She was then named director at Behavioral and Counseling Associates in 1990, where she spent the next three years counseling individuals, groups and families at a private counseling facility. In 1993, Rev. Dr. Dixon became a personnel assistant and CYF recruiter, which was a government position with the Florida Department of Children, Youth and Families. She also held positions with the Mental Health Association of America as a program assistant coordinator and the Astor Home for Children as a family preservationist working with high-risk families to prevent removal of at-risk children. Among other roles, Rev. Dr. Dixon was a staff trainer/counseling consultant at Calvary Assembly of God in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, during the early 1990s.

Rev. Dr. Dixon was a contributing author to the book, "Essential Approach to Education." She also had many of her case studies on temperament included in another book, which included approximately 250 pages of text.

Through her community, Rev. Dr. Dixon enjoys serving as a clinical director on behalf of the Christian and Pastoral Counseling Center. She has also been active as a volunteer for the Heart Association of Dutchess County, the March of Dimes and Muscular Dystrophy, and, among other activities, has served on the board of directors for Crisis Pregnancy Services in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Highly educated, Rev. Dr. Dixon received an Associate of Arts in liberal arts at Dutchess Community College in 1981. She then acquired a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in psychology and health science, with a minor in criminal justice, at the State University of New York at Brockport in 1982. From there, Rev. Dr. Dixon attended Marist College, where she concentrated in health services as a work-study student in the psychology department before acquiring a Master of Arts and Certificate of Advanced Study in counseling and school psychology in 1986. Finally, in 2016, she achieved a Doctor of Christian Counseling through the National Christian Counselor's Association (NCCA). Rev. Dr. Dixon is a licensed professional counselor/New York State certified school psychologist, certified school psychologist and clinical director, and National Board Certified Counselor.

Rev. Dr. Dixon is a member of several industry-related organizations, including the Florida Society of Psychotherapists, the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Counseling Association, the American Mental Health Counselor Association and the Florida Sheriff's Association. She is also a professional clinical member of the NCCA.

A celebrated Marquis listee, Rev. Dr. Dixon has been showcased in the 51sth through 55th editions of Who's Who in America; the first, second, and fourth editions of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare; the 27th edition of Who's Who in the East; the 15th edition of Who's Who in the World; and the 19th through 23rd editions of Who's Who of American Women.
