She provides Medical Care and Esthetics using a functional medicine model. Additionally, she works with MB Best Medical Group, with which she develops care plans unique to each patient and provides telemedical care to support chronic care management. Prior to her current roles, Ms. Gillispie gained valuable expertise as a family nurse practitioner with Providence Health & Services, Kaiser Permanente Urgent Care, United Medical Group and Urgent Care, and Geneva Health Center & Urgent Care.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Gillispie completed a holistic clinical rotation with The Middle Way Health Center, a geriatric rotation with Peace Health, and a pediatric rotation at Clackamas and Oregon Pediatrics. Between 2010 and 2014, she also worked in varying nursing roles with Salem Hospital, Continental Home Health, Stayton Family Practice, Women's Resource Center, and Providence St. Vincent, through which she liaised with other medical professionals, expanded upon her medical management expertise, and leveraged her superior case management skills to oversee multiple caseloads at once. An expert in her field, Ms. Gillispie began her career as an Army medic with the United States Army, a post in which she developed and executed rapid response and treatment protocols in coordination with doctors, colleagues, and patients, delivered timely and informed support for the trauma, critical care and emergent units, and guided membership coordination into Independent Practice Associations.
Throughout her career, Ms. Gillispie has obtained numerous degrees in pursuit of additional knowledge, including an associate degree in mortuary science from the Mt. Hood School of Mortuary Science, associate degree of psychology at Chemeketa Community College, a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Portland and a Bachelor of Science in biology from Eastern Oregon State University. She additionally earned a Master of Science as a family nurse practitioner from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. In 2023, Ms. Gillispie will graduate with a Doctor of Education in medicine at the University of St. Augustine as well.
Outside of her primary responsibilities, Ms. Gillispie provided needed medical attention to the people of Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, collaborated with other volunteers to set up mobile clinics in poverty-stricken outlying areas, and offered medical education and supplies to those in Africa. Over the years, she has contributed to numerous research projects, including "Vitamin D, You and Your Health," "Successful Weight Loss in Childhood," and "Best Weight Loss Programs for Children," through which she wrote an exhaustively referenced examination and identification of the most ideal weight loss programs for kids with accompanying data. In the coming years, Ms. Gillispie intends to complete her doctorate and experience her career's continued growth and success.
