KELLER, TX, August 18, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne Austin-Johnson has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. From a young age, Ms. Austin-Johnson has loved animals, and once her mother noticed her interests, she suggested that she think about becoming a veterinarian. While in the Fort Worth Stockyards, Ms. Austin-Johnson met a woman who did equine massage therapy. That sparked the idea of owning a pet spa one day. During high school, she worked as a bather and following graduation earned her massage therapy certification.
Ms. Austin-Johnson relocated to Kansas, where she briefly worked as a veterinarian technician until she began working at a boarding, daycare, and grooming facility. When the facility needed a groomer, Tara Hendricks trained her as a groomer and Ms. Austin-Johnson realized this was her passion. When she moved back to Texas, she briefly worked in a veterinarian office in Keller but never lost the desire to groom.
When Ms. Austin-Johnson came across a small, vacant building in Keller, she put plans in motion to finally fulfill her dream of establishing her own grooming shop. In 2013, she opened Anne's Pretty Pups, as the owner. Her business grew to the point that she needed more space so in 2015 she moved to a larger location and added more groomers and a self-service dog wash. Most of Ms. Austin-Johnson's clients have come to Anne's Pretty Pups through word of mouth, and as of 2018 has a waitlist for potential new clients. She is grateful to have developed a consistent business within a fluctuating industry and owes a lot to her staff who works very hard to maintain the quality reputation Ms. Austin-Johnson has been able to build for her current business.
For her efforts in her field, Ms. Austin-Johnson and the staff of Anne's Pretty Pups have been named Best of the Best by Keller Living Magazine for the years of 2016-2021 and have been featured in the Living Magazine, Voyage Dallas Magazine and K Magazine. Throughout her career, she attributes her professional success to her faith. In addition, she is grateful for the support she receives from family, friends, and hard-working staff. Looking toward the future, Ms. Austin-Johnson would like to expand her business to include daycare, boarding services, and canine massage therapy of which she recently gained certification.
