Dr. Spruiell was inspired to become a dentist by her father Michael Maddox, who founded Family Dentistry Associates in the early 1980s. When she was contemplating which area of medicine to study during college, she realized that her father's profession allowed him to care for his patients throughout their entire lives. Dr. Spruiell has since capitalized on this unique advantage of dentistry by developing close relationships with her patients.
Along with her father, Dr. Spruiell's sister, Mary Lynn Shadix, and husband Robby also excel as dentists at Family Dentistry Associates. Due to the family atmosphere of the practice, many patients have been receiving their exceptional services for well over 25 years. In her spare time, Dr. Spruiell enjoys cooking, reading, and dedicating her attention to her two dogs, Olive and Louie.
